Yoga uses a combination of steady poses and breathing techniques to maximize the mind and body connection. With emphasis on deep breathing, focus, and relaxation, many schools of yoga are low-intensity, stress-reducing practices that involve stationary posing as opposed to vigorous movement.
Among its many benefits, yoga increases flexibility, balance, and circulation in the practitioner, as well as helping to tone the body gently. With a range from low-impact, restorative yoga, to the more strength-building power yoga, it can be tailored to fit with anyone’s workout needs. At Pilates Plus, we are happy to teach Hatha, Anusara and Vinyasa styles of yoga alongside Pilates, to maximize the benefits of strength, flexibility, and spirituality.
